Saffron Variations

Saffron Variations was a series of five performative events taking place on the 22nd of each month (August-December 2011) in New York. I worked with local chefs to produce edible artworks using saffron that were served in public spaces around Manhattan. Packaged in sachets, the saffron used to make each of the works belonged to my grandmother, Anna Steczowicz (née Graca), who passed away on 22 August, 2009.
